Letter of Recommendation

Can Kolbe advisors do letters of recommendation for college applications? How do we go about requesting one?

Yes, they do LORs and all you need to do is go to Kolbe.com and under "Forms", complete a request for an LOR. The more info you can provide about your student, the more they can address specifics in the letter. If Kolbe acts as your guidance counselor they will already include that letter of recommendation as I understand it. From our experience, it is favorable to the student if there are additional outside sources for these LORs.

Yes we can do a letter of rec. They tend to be more general than colleges might like to see, but it is often better than a parent doing a letter of rec for their student. If you can get at least one outside source for letter of rec (coach, tutor, dance instructor, art teacher, work supervisor, or even a family friend who has worked closely with your student) this is highly recommended.
